Maryland’s young basketball team appears to have finally grown up. Alyssa Thomas had 16 points and 13 rebounds, and the 15th-ranked Terrapins had four other players score in double figures Sunday in an 88-65 victory over No. 10 North Carolina. It was Thomas’ fourth double in her first five ACC games. Coach Brenda Frese knew it would take a while for a team with six freshmen and not a single senior to play at its best. It pains me to even think about the fact that tomorrow, we should all be going to M&T to watch an AFC Champiuonship Game, but alas we are not. We must suffer through a game between our enemy and whatever the Jets are. The Jets will win this game because the Steelers are so beat up from last week. Senior Malcolm Dulaney had his usual excellent game playing 39 minutes. The ironic thing is that in the 1 minute he missed, the Terps actually made their only run of the night. Seth Greenberg panicked as Cliff Tucker got hot and helped trim the lead back to 8. Dulaney returned and that was that. Erick … Read More »
