At 41 John Tillman is best up and coming big time lacrosse coach in the land. Navy made overtures to steal him away–Tillman never had any intentions of leaving. Maryland lacrosse is in great hands. Just for your info, John has been on the recruiting trail almost every day since the loss in the NCAA Championship game. Maryland’s rise back to the top of Lacrosse elite continues.

JJ Hardy has certainly been the best Oriole pickup this year. Batting leadoff in place of the ever injured BRob, Hardy went deep on the 2nd pitch of the bottom of the first. Luke and Adam Jones added homers later.

Chris Jakubaukas pitched 5 scoreless innnings in his first start for the O’s.

When Dwight Barbiasz lines up for his first jump this Friday at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, he will have someone in his corner who has been there before.  Barbiasz will be joined by assistant coach Frank Costello, a former two-time All-American in the high jump as a Terp in 1965 and 1966. I can’t hit the 65 mph pitching machines with any cocsistency. That being said, I don’t know what Jeremy was throwing yesterday. From my vantage point behind home plate, it just seemed like he was sending his pitches in waist hight medium speed. I did find it funny that the Bluejays were running up to the plate.
