What an unbelievable run for the best high school program in the nation. Stu will call in to discuss the great victory over Oak Hill Academy which is being labeled as one of the greatest high school games ever. Rick Jaklitsch will be in the house as co host. we willcertainly tackle the Gary Williams –Debbie Yow feud.
Direct from the Washington Post and then I will give you my take:
Mark Tuesday down as the day when the Gary Williams-Debbie Yow feud got real. Like, ugly and unpleasant and public and brutish and nasty and public and really, really real. The climax came during Yow’s N.C. State press conference Tuesday afternoon. “I don’t have a reputation across all men’s basketball as being difficult to work with,” Yow told chuckling reporters. “I have a reputation of not getting … Read More »
For those of you who have never been to St Andrews, right on the Main St — Pilmour Place in the heart of the town, a stone’s throw from the Old Course is the Dunvegan Hotel home of the Texas A&M Aggie Bar. That’s right an Aggie bar. Even though the it’s 3 in the morning in St Andrews I am sure th ebar is hopping. Yes it seems like Desmond Hubert may become a Tar Heel but not quite yet. If anyone is reading this and has contact with Desmond. Let him know he will be an afterthought in Roy’s lineup but an integral part in Gary’s right away.
Here is the bottom line–There is a buzz back in Btown about the O’s. Everywhere you go that is what the folks are talking about. It’s been a long time and I hope it is not just a fleeting moment in time.
Keep Brian Roberts off the 20 steal mentality. Give him a bonus if he has none. He is the glue of the lineup. remember last year his return to the lineup somewhat coincided with Buck’s return.
Some observations on a pathetic Championship game:
–The Big Guy Alex Oriakhi was the difference tonight 11 points, 11 rebounds 4 blocks and he just totally frustrated Matt Howard.
–I thought Shelvin Mack should have been given the ball way before the game was hopelessly over.
–As I predicted the team with the best player, Kemba Walker would win as usually happens.
–I wonder how many illegal phone calls and texts Calhoun’s staff made to Jeremy Lamb.
–The game seemed … Read More »
Desmond was excellent last night , much better then I had seen previously.Yes he needs some weight and muscle but he can play. He is stronger on the defensive end. He told the ESPNU broadcasting crew that his recruitment is down to UNC and Maryland.
from Jeff Barker’s article in the Sun:
Smith: “He is rolling the dice to leave his name in, as not every scout we speak with projects him in the first round. He would benefit from (another) year at Maryland, but he appears to be prepared to attempt the jump to the next level. Williams impressed this year with his offensive development and dominant interior play. He shows a solid shooting form and developing post skills. He also shows the dedication … Read More »
Since the day Buck came to town everything has changed. It’s early, there are still many questions about the pitching but I am beginning to believe that this might really be a special year. Zach Britton gave the O’s 6 strong innings allowing just 1 run.
The following comment is why I love Buck: ” We’ve done enough to take that trust away. And I take the fan’s trust very seriously. It may sound hokey but that’s why we do … Read More »
