There are a few reasons why I think Edsall is a good hire, but I want to focus on one specifically. A lot of coaches do their new school some lip-service during the introductory press conference by saying that coaching at the particular school is a “dream job.” In reality, this is often just coach-speak. If Malzahn had been hired, he surely would have called Maryland a dream job. Surely, he would also jump to an SEC head coaching job … Read More »

Sometime in 2011, Jim Harbaugh will bring his san Francisco 49ers into Baltimore to play against his brother’s team, the Ravens. Wouldn’t miss that game! A few days later, here are some of my thoughts on the hiring of Randy Edsall:

1) I think a lot of the anger shown by the fan base towards Kevin Anderson was for the wrong reasons. It seemed that fans were disgruntled because Kevin Anderson “fired Fridge to hire Edsall.” This is not the case. Kevin Anderson fired Fridge because he felt it was the right time for Fridge to go. After the 2009 season, most (if not … Read More »
