The 54th annual Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll, recognizing academic excellence by student-athletes during the 2009-10 academic year, was announced Friday by Commissioner John Swofford. Rex Ryan might be a heckuva coach but he isn’t much of a poker player. His outward stance of the desperation the Jets face without the #1 corner in football will cost his owners plenty. The Jets offer 10 years 120 million—Revis wants 10 years 160 million. I am betting on Revis and guess what —I don’t blame him. To play for 1 million a year is ridiculous. Let’s hope he signs in time for week 2.

It’s utterly amazing to watch the influence #52 still has to this day. I watched through my binos the entire team listening to his inspiring pregame speech. When he is introduced even in a meaningless game like last night–the entire stadium awakens.
The strength of this team is the defensive line. Rookie Terrence Cody was superb last night. It will be interesting to see his role as a fullback.

Three University of Maryland soccer players were named to the 2010 watch list for the Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy, the most prestigious award in college soccer. Senior Jason Herrick and junior Zac MacMath were chosen for the men’s watch list, while junior Jasmyne Spencer was picked for the women’s been tabbed to the 2010 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, announced Wednesday.
