On the eve of both NCAA lacrosse tournaments, it is hard not to feel that something special could be brewing in College Park. The women are primed for a national championship, and as I wrote a few days ago, anything less would be a disappointment. Matt Bracken in the Sun reports today that Ernie Graham’s son, Jonathan has selected Penn State and intends to sign the LOI today. Jon is a great kid and everyone from Maryland wishes him the best. Ironically the Terrapins will travel to Penn State this year for the ACC-Big Ten Challenge game.
Why was this guy not brought up sooner. All he did today was get 2 hits including a solo Home Run and throw out the tying run at the plate with 2 out in the ninth. Apparently Luke Scott has gotten the message from MacPhail, as he clubbed a Grand Slam in the 8th to give the O’s the lead. GREAT GAME!!! Never saw a pitch because of the 12:30 start. the O’s move to 11-24.
