Here is some info on Haukur Palsson, the incoming Maryland swingman from Montverde (Fla.) Academy who played in last night’s Capital Classic: Palsson had three points and four rebounds in the game and said he hopes to help Maryland on the boards next season. Of the three future Terps in the game, Palsson was the toughest to evaluate. High school all-star games are all about creating shots and passes.

I wasn’t paying that much attention as I was trasfixed on the Terrapin game, but when the Caps went down 4-1 –I thought the season was in DEEP jeopardy. Let’s face it –you lose and go down 2-0 at home, the Caps goose was cooked. A great win that maybe will start a Stanley Cup run. Caps 6 … Read More »
Kobe is still the GUY in the NBA. The only X factor that could derail a 2nd straight Laker title is the quirkiness of Ron Artest. I would like to see the Cavs take it for Antawn Jamison’s sake. He is a class act and served the Wizards well. But truthfully, I don’t care all that much.

Antawn scored 15 and had 10 rebounds for Cleveland. He is the X factor if the Cavs are going to become NBA Champions.
I guess anybody can’t be a closer. When will this nightmare end. At least we were spared watching this debacle as Fox Sports blacked out the game.
Well, a comeback is nothing new for the Terps. Johns Hopkins has jumped out to a 3-1 lead, as the Terps just look a little tentative on offense. Will Yeatman has yet to play. It’s early—I hope!!!!
– Head coach Cathy Reese captured her 100th career win Saturday as No. 3 Maryland routed Virginia Tech, 18-4, to secure a share of the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season title.
Maryland (14-1, 4-1 ACC) picked up scoring from 10 different players on the day, led by four goals from Karri Ellen Johnson and three from Sarah Mollison, to help Reese, who is in her fourth season at the helm of the Terp program, accomplish the milestone.
