Finally a relief from the O’s. The Birds are 7-19 since the All Star Game , going deeper into the abyss of the AL East.Fortunately the Purple Birds open up tonight. Mason is doubtul and Clayton is out. I am excited to see Ray Rice and Willis, however.

In a break from Terrapin tradition, Jeff Barker of the Sun reports that Ralph is considering naming permanent player team captains. His speculation is that Phil Costa and Chris Turner would be included in the mix.
Of course for those of you who don’t know, the Boss is Bruce Springsteen and yes he is returning to Baltimore after last playing at Towson University in 1977. Unbelievably his show will be at the 1964 White Elephant better known as the Civic Center or now The First Mariner Arena.
