I come to bury Trembley, not praise him. Hey, I’m happy the O’s won. And how many posts have a little Shakespeare in them? Yes the O’s showed some of the old Orioles magic but Trembley’s overmanaging and lack of flexibility hurt the team last night. Trembley tells his bench players a couple days in advance when they are going to play. He does this … Read More »
This is a time to praise Dave Trembley. He is beginning to push the right buttons. The O’s staged a gallant 9th inning comeback to defeat the Philadelphia Phillies last night 6-5 as Brian Roberts smacked a 2 run dinger with 2 out in the 9th. Sherrill closed out the game for his 14th save.
From the mid 80’s until the day Andy MacPhail was hired the Baltimore Orioles were one of the most dysfunctional franchises in sports. But for the first time in many years Orioles fans have something to look forward to. The farm system which has been ignored ever since Jerry Hoffberger sold the team in 1979 is now producing a good number of quality prospects, particularly on the mound. This year still figures to be disappointing in the win-loss column but … Read More »

I have said many times that when Mr A had the league at his disposal because of the Washington issue, he should have moved the O’s to the NL East and let the Nationals try to compete in the division where $100 million dollar payroll is chicken feed. Well now the O’s are 7-3 agaist the National League. The O’s would be competitive TODAY in the NL East. I guess the need for the sellouts against NY and Boston supersedes … Read More »
How can Grievis Vasquez help make the Terps a better team and help his cause in the next year’s NBA draft. Good point guards know how to control the pace of the game, get other players involved and know when to shoot the ball. Vasquez has great court sense and a real good feel for the game. However in the past he has gone through periods where he just throws up shots without taking into consideration time and score. I think a … Read More »
