Next year, the power forward the Terrapins have coveted will be at College Park. James Padgett committed to the Terps last Friday. After watching video of James playing for Juice All Stars this past summer, it is clear he will any void in the power game for the Terps.  He is also a true Senior in high school turning 18 in April 09.

An excruciating loss, but I have to admit this team is much better then I ever imagined. Some of my observations in a 23-20 loss.

When I saw the replay of the endzone pass to Mason, I screamed for a replay. What in the world were the guys upstairs doing. It was obviously a td.

Is Willis too fragile for a 20 carry tailback. I believe so. His presence in the lineup is crucial. Let’s see him split time 60-40.

In  a stunning 2nd half reversal the Terrapins scored 14 unanswered points and shocked 80,000 at Death Valley.  Some of my observations:

Chis Turner gets better every week. His 2 third down completions on the game ending drive finished off another clutch efort against a ranked team.

Darrius –one carry 75 game changing yards–we must get the ball in his hands.

Hats off to Obi. Five straight field goals and excellent NFL worthy kickoffs.

Danny Oquendo seems top be … Read More »

Susie Rowe and Katie O’Donnell led a second half surge as the Lady Terps upended the #1 Demon Deacons Saturday 4-2. “I’m very proud of this team,” said Maryland head coach Missy Meharg. “They competed with purpose for 70 minutes and played with a lot of maturity. Wake Forest is a tremendous team. We played really strong in the second half and made good adjustments to give us three goals.” The Terps have little time to bask in thei glory … Read More »

Why is this game pivotal? Because the winner will have a clear advantage in the quest for the division championship with Wake Forest as the key link to th title.  If the Terps copuld pull the upset, I believe it could trigger a great ACC run. The Terps must take advantage of Clemson’s young offensive line in order to win on Saturday. At last we can watch this game , unlike next Saturday when the UVA game is … Read More »

Finally after 4 weeks , Steve Goins passed though the NCAA clearinghouse. Goins joins Braxton Dupree and Jerome Burney in giving the Terps some much needed muscle in the front line.  Look for a signicant contribution from Steve as the season progresses.

“I’m excited to return to the area and to resume my career with the Wizards,” said Dixon.  “I’m looking forward to the start of training camp and I’m ready to step in and contribute wherever Coach Jordan and the team sees fit.”  As usual the ultimate team player, Juan Dixon has the perfect response.  Training camp starts on Saturday for the Wizards sans Agent Zero.
