Chris Davis hit his 3rd HR in as many games, drove in 4, and kept his BA over .600

When I was alerted that Brian Roberts pulled his hamstring on a head first slide on a steal, I could not believe it. When a guy can hit 300 in today’s game, there is no need for him ever to steal. I feel sorry for Roberts but perhaps this is the time for him to move on.

Junior Alyssa Thomas and senior Tianna Hawkins of the Maryland women’s basketball team were named to the Associated Press All-America Team Tuesday. Thomas was named to the Second Team and is honored for the second straight year. Hawkins earned All-America Honorable Mention honors.

The No. 1 Maryland women’s lacrosse team is prepped for a league showdown as it hosts No. 2 North Carolina Saturday at noon.

Maryland (13-0, 3-0 ACC) is doubling up opponents this season, outscoring foes 208-104. The Terps have defeated UNC in three straight ACC title game appearances, including a 14-10 victory in Durham last season.

North Carolina (11-1, 4-0 ACC) has won 11 straight after falling to Florida to start the season. Maryland leads the all-time series 19-11.

17 turnovers , poor shooting selection and foul line problems did the Terps in tonight. But there was something about this team down the wire that changed.
