For the 1st half this was actually a close game —tied at 35. But the depth and team speed eventually wore down the visitors.
Faust seemed to be playing with great intensity driving the bucket at every chance. Both Nick and Set finished with 15 points. Alex was pretty quiet tonight though seemingly he was double or triple teamed every time he touched the ball.
Turgeon used the press throughout the game and eventually it wore down Niagara. Nick and … Read More »

Elgin Baylor is one of the all time NBA greats. If you know anything about the Lakers and NBA history, you will probably answer no, he never won a ring. It is true that he played in eight NBA finals series, losing his first seven to Boston and the last one to the Knicks in 1970. As a matter of fact if you go to NBA’s website, they will tell you he retired ringless:
Baylor’s last game was played on … Read More »
Been testing my memory on this game. It seems from what I remember, I went to this game with Gary Bernstein and Irv Beightler. Since both are readers of terptalk.com they can verify this. It was a Saturday afternoon game in March. The Terps won the title easily and it osrt of signaled that Maryland basketball was here to stay.
3 Things will be interesting to see tonight.
#1 The Terps have been playing their best ball of the year the last 4 games. How will they play tonight. with the resurgence of PeShon at the point and Nick closing the season strong can they easily put Niagara away? Yes I am anxious to Alex Len for maybe his last time at Comcast. I expect to hear the 1 more year chant.
#2 Hopefully the fans will turn out tonight … Read More »
Get this straight–there is 1 and only 1 Lebron James. jeff Green scored 43 for the Celtics tonight to no avail as LeBron led the Heat to a comeback victory to become the 2nd team ever to win 23 games in a row. They are now chasing the 71-72 Lalers who hold the record at 33 in 1971-72. The Bullets were a key victim in that streak at Civic Center. On Dec. 22, they beat the Bullets 127-120 to make … Read More »

If Coach Turgeon and the team are excited about the NIT, then clearly I am as well. I will definitely be at Comcast Tuesday night and surely hope there is a decent crowd to support our guys.
The Big East received 8 tickets to the dance while the Big 10 garnered 7. The ACC had but 4. What has happened to the ACC?
