The Maryland women’s basketball team welcomes four stellar players to its family for the 2013-14 season, head coach Brenda Frese announced Wednesday. Lexie Brown (Suwanee, Ga./North Gwinnett HS), A’Lexus Harrison (Baltimore, Md./Digital Harbor HS), Brionna Jones (Havre de Grace, Md./Aberdeen HS) and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell HS) make up the No. 4 recruiting class in the country, as ranked by Blue Star Report and Collegiate Girls Basketball Report.

MARYLAND

At the moment, this is my favorite recruiting class. I haven’t seen a more talented trio of offensive players (Rambo, Rotanz, Cannizzaro) headed to the same school since I started covering recruiting. On the defensive end, both Pons and Morris have enough talent to start for multiple seasons. A late pickup, Muller is an underrated defenseman once committed to Marist. Davis-Allen and Belz are local products who will impress at midfield.
