Little things I remember:

Walking to the game down Peachtree Lane with Chuck Rosolio and then NBA Star Sam Cassell SR. I asked Sam if he was a Terp fan that night—he assured me he was. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!

The streets were lined with thousands of IU fans who journeyed to Atlanta without tickets just to be a prt of the night.

Hugging my friend Dr Irv Raffel in the hotel. Irv was near tears of happiness repeating ‘it was finally our … Read More »

UVA was up 2-0 today when Terp middie John Haus fired in a shot from the left side. (In my opinion)  way after the shot left his stick a Virginia defender delivered what seemed to be a late cheap shot to John–helmet to head. The penalty a one minute releaseable foul. What was luckily avoided–perhaps a concussion to John Haus. Look this play happens a lot in lacrosse but this particular hit was clearly late and seemingly unnecessary.

I am never one to hide my emotions so I have to admit to being upset today having to watch the few UVA fans in attendance celebrate victory in our house. Korey Wacker went 2-for-4 with two runs, David Carroll held Boston College to one run in eight innings and Maryland defeated the Eagles 7-1 Saturday afternoon.

Wacker was the ultimate utility man for the Terps (18-11, 3-9 ACC), tallying two hits, two runs, two stolen bases and an RBI before coming on to pitch in the ninth inning. The all-around effort proved critical in helping Maryland take the third and final game of the series.

OSU basically collapsed in the 2nd half losing a 13 point lead and basically chucking up ill advised 3 after 3.Kansas might have had a great tournament so far but it all ends Monday night as Calipari … Read More »
