It was a clear KO for Kevin Cooper over Greg McBride that actually led to a man advantage for Maryland, but Carolina won the war in the end. Down 11-9 with 40 seconds remaining in the game, Kevin Cooper hit Greg McBride late and received a flag. McBride retaliated by hitting Cooper low. A major mistake. Cooper leveled McBride with a series of haymakers and was finally knocked off his opponent by 4 or 5 Tar heels. Two penalties were … Read More »

Why?  The toughest yards in football are 3rd and 2, 4th and 1, etc. This was the major weakness of the Ravens last year. Tim Tebow gives you the answer. He is a QB with a running back’s power. Plus he is a capable backup. Plus he was revered in the locker room, if not in the administrative offices.  A character guy like Tebow will enhance any franchise.

I hope Alex Len was watching. Dieng had 9 rebounds and 7 blocks and too many altered shots to mention. Though the TNT experts including Shaka Smart picked Florida to defeat Louisville, I don’t see it that way. Louisville’s defense is just way too strong. The return of Peyton Siva (9assists) is the factor for me.

Scouting North Carolina

The Tar Heels are 6-3 on the year after dropping a 13-11 decision to No. 11 Duke last Friday in Durham and topping Dartmouth, 13-10, on Wednesday. UNC opened the season with four-straight wins before losing, 9-8, to No. 10 Lehigh on March 3. Carolina followed that with a 10-6 midweek loss at Penn, but rebounded to beat No. 12 Princeton, 9-8, at the Konica Minolta FaceOff Classic in Baltimore on March 10.
