The hopeful onslaught of talented recruits has started with the verbal from Jacobs—more to come!!!!

from Matt Bracken’s blog in the Sun:

Jacobs, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound wide receiver, committed to Maryland on Wednesday. Suitland coach Ed Shields said his former player will start classes in College Park this month.

“This is a hard-working, stand-up kid,” Shields said. “He’s definitely a good athlete and a better person that I think will do … Read More »

Dabo–you had a month to prepare yourr team. A month to prepare for Tavon Austin. With 10 minutes to go WVU was up 63-26 and I could not bear to watch any more of the carnage. By the way Dana Holgersen called the dogs off when WVU got to 60.

Watching Dunbar’s Tavon Austin really hurts. What an incredible player.

Looking at Clemson, it’s easy to see how the gap in teams in the ACC is just not that great. … Read More »

Some observations of a shaky 10th victory tonight:

Sean Mosley took the bull by the horns tonight and refused to let the Terps lose. Loose ball after loose ball, key defensive stops by #14 saved the day for Maryland. Sean led the Terps win 19 points tonight. I just hope he can continue to play so well when the team struggles.

Alex Len made 2 key buckets down the stretch but what I really liked was how Alex never takes … Read More »

I will have much more to say about the Rose Bowl tomorrow. In the Fiesta, David Shaw who has had a great first year as Stanford’s head coach definitely played much too conservative in his final drive placing all the pressure on his freshman placekicker instead of using the clock and letting Andrew Luck march in or closer to the goal line. The kid had already missed a 40 yard FG and you just knew a hook or slice was … Read More »

A few years back, Cornell had a powerful run in March, but today the Big Red are 4-8 and the Terps should be able to handle them.

– Maryland used balanced scoring and a sizable rebounding edge to stay unbeaten and hand Florida State its worst home loss in nearly five years.

Laurin Mincy scored 23 points, Alyssa Thomas added 21 points and 10 rebounds and Tianna Hawkins had 20 points and 13 rebounds as No. 5 Maryland routed Florida State 91-70 on Monday night. Hawkins was 7 of 7 from the floor in the first half and had nine rebounds for Maryland (14-0, 1-0 ACC), which … Read More »

The Ravens never do it easily. Just when you thought it was over, it wasn’t. As expected the Bengals were throwing to the end zone as the game ended. Ladarius might have gotten away with a little interference at the end but so what.

Ray Rice was incredible as always. How could the entire NFL pass him almost twice. Ricky Williams filled in admirably as he passed the 10,000 yard plateau.

The key play of the game went to 55 … Read More »

Judgment Day Deliberations

#1 Terrell Suggs vs Andrew Whitworth since 2009 when Whitworth was moved to left tackle Tsizzle has but 1 sack against the Bengals. The last 2 weeks Suggs has been virtually shut out by Jared Gaither and Joe Thomas. No sacks=no victory.

Torrey Smith will key the offense today. 165 yards and 1 TD in the first game—The Bengals have no answer for my favorite Raven. With Boldin probably out, the burden will fall on 82.

If … Read More »
