Five members of the third-ranked Maryland field hockey team were selected to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference team, the league announced Wednesday. Jemma Buckley, Megan Frazer, Ali McEvoy, Harriet Tibble and Jill Witmer were all honored by the league. It is the second consecutive annual conference honor for Buckley, Frazer, Tibble and Witmer and first for McEvoy.
Wait a minute.Yes it’s great that Alex can now practice with the team. Before I start jumping for joy, why is the suspension so stiff? For signing a contract when he was 13 or 14? 10 games? This is great news. Alex can start practicing ASAP. According to Jeff Barker of the Sun there still could be a penalty of a few games but we will have to wait and see. No longer is this a small team. The No. 10 Maryland women’s basketball team took care of business Tuesday night with its 82-36 exhibition win over Messiah Tuesday night at the Comcast Center. Laurin Mincy led the Terps with 17 points, as she went 5-for-7 from the field and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Tianna Hawkins added 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Alyssa Thomas notched 13 points and Anjale Barrett had 10.
