Pitching inside and hitting Cruz turned out to be a bad move by Valverde. I have a feeling this series will still go 7. The Cards put on their hitting shoes and evened the NL Series with the Brewers. Ho Hum.

If the Lions front four is as strong as it looked tonight, they just might be the team to beat in the NFL. Matthew Stafford gets better with each game. Please don’t ever question the heart of jay Cutler after the beating he took Monday night.

Maryland women’s basketball sophomore Alyssa Thomas and senior Lynetta Kizer were both named to the Wooden Preseason Top 30 List, announced Monday. Maryland is one of seven schools to land multiple players on the list.
Maryland’s Joe Vellano was honored Monday by the Atlantic Coast Conference for his play in Saturday’s 21-16 loss at No. 13 Georgia Tech. Vellano was all over the field against the triple-option attack of the Yellow Jackets, who were held well below their season averages in points (21 – GT averaged 51.6 ppg), rushing (272 – GT averaged 378.2 pg) and total offense (386 – GT averaged 587 pg).

Usually the game consists of Mitch Kasoff dominating play but this year might be different. (I do hope Mitch plays this year). What a great night it will be at College Park as the former Champions help kick off Mark Turgeon’s Maryland career.
We will be talking some Terp sports and certainly the growth of the Inner City Middle School Lacrosse League that the Commissioner founded.
