from terrapintimes.com:

“In all the years I have been coaching, I have to single out….even though I don’t like to do this because we didn’t win the game….but I think he had probably one of the most outstanding performances I know I have ever seen out of a defensive lineman.”Joe Vellano, 20 tackles….just when you watch the film, when you watch how hard he played, he just did a phenomenal job.

In no way shape or form is this a 2nd guess. Coach Edsall was clearly correct in yanking Danny Saturday. CJ gave the team a spark and his 77 yard scamper for a TD proves there are definite times when he should be inserted in the lineup. However, though he experienced a few drops, his passes for the most part were so off the mark I was not sure where he was even throwing to. To defeat a Clemson or … Read More »

Before I start, I surely am thinking about Andrew Gonella who suffered a seemingly disastrous leg injury and had to be taken off the field by ambulance. He’s a great kid, who loves Maryland with all he has.

Let’s start with the good—the defense looked superb today. GT came into the game averaging almost 50 points a game–not todayonly 2 TD drives. Joe Vellano has 20 tackles including 14 solos. AJ Francis, had 9, and David Mackall seemed like he … Read More »

Marissa Vassalotti stopped 3 Duke shots to preserve the victory. Next up for the Terps is ODU who defeated the Terps 4-0 early in the year. The game is at 6PM Friday at the Complex.

A decade earlier, Hank Greenberg crossed a different line: He became baseball’s first Jewish superstar.

Is there a home field edge in baseball–I doubt it. The Yankees went down to defeat with their big guns failing to produce when it counted. Let’s go to the bottom of the 7th. Tigers up 3-1 –bases are loaded with the heart of the lineup—Arod stikes out—–Tex draws a walk with 2 favorable calls—-Swisher strikes out.  Ouch!!!In the bottom of the 9th Valverde backed up his boasting getting the Yanks out 1-2-3- for his 50th save. Heads will start … Read More »

The tough game just got tougher. Andre Monroe  and Darin Drakeford already were missing the game and now for some undisclosed reason Kenny Tate is unlikely to play. Call me crazy but I still think it will be close.

During Tyler’s treatment, Frese learned that many patients cannot get vital medicines because drug companies do not return a big enough profit on them.
