Some observations of not realizing the strengths of this Ravens team:
That’s it –I am never watching another exhibition game again. The Ravens offense looked sickening in the 4 games. The Steelers had 0 turnovers in 4 fake games. Yesterday they had 7 and I thoroughly enjoyed every one of them.
Though I predicted a Ravens close win, it was only with my heart. My criticisms on the Sports Maven show turned out to be so wrong. Though I still … Read More »
Stefon has been a huge Florida—Miami lean but the events of the past week have him thinking about Maryland.
The following is from terrapintimes.com
“Yes, 100 percent [Maryland climbed up my list more]. Coach Edsall, he is putting in a full-time effort with the coaching staff and it shows, it really shows. They played a Florida school, those kind of things, they showed they were well-conditioned, they ran an up-tempo offense, and I liked it. And they threw the ball … Read More »
That’s the tough thing about soccer–you can dominate but not win. The Terps are 6-0-2.
– Trailing 43-40 and facing a third-and-4 in the second overtime, Stevenson football junior C.J. Hopson (Lusby/Patuxent) found freshman Jeromie Miller (Reisterstown/Franklin) in the corner of the end zone to give the Mustangs their first win in program history Saturday night, 46-43 in front of a sellout crowd of 3,500 fans in the inaugural game at Mustang Stadium.
Stevenson (1-1) totaled 472 yards of total offense, 375 of which came from Hopson who completed 19-of-37 pass attempts for 284 yards … Read More »

It seems like in the past 5 years, I have been to 20 regular season field hockey games and 3 things repeat themselves
1—- Maryland always wins and usually pretty easily
2— The Terps thoroughly dominant play usually to the point of embarrassment
3— Missy always seems to have the top freshmen in the country on her teams.
Today was no exception. I watched the 2nd half with our President Dr Loh explaining some of the nuances of the game. … Read More »
Here’s why the Ravens will eke out a victory today:
Though I am not happy about the lack of cohesion the oline will probably have, I am pleased that Oher is back where he belongs and the Ravens added Vonta Leach. This should spring Ray Rice for a few plays just to keep the offense in sink. The Ravens have never thrown particularly well against Pittsburgh so why expect anything different today. It will take Flacco several games to develop … Read More »
NFL Preview – Pittsburgh (0-0) at Baltimore (0-0)
By Scott Garbarini, NFL Editor
(Sports Network) – The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens will waste no time renewing one of the NFL’s current great rivalries, as the two AFC North powerhouses go toe-to-toe Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium in the 2011 season opener for both teams.
These two 2010 playoff participants have engaged in some classic contests in recent years, as each of the last six regular-season bouts between the clubs … Read More »
