Yesterday, the ACC announced the start times of the first two home games for the Terrapin football team.  The home opener against James Madison on September 12 will kickoff at 6 p.m. and the following week (Sept. 19), the Terps will host Middle Tennessee State at 3:30 p.m.  These times should be welcomed by tailgaters who don’t want to make their way to lot 1 and lot 9 at 7 in the morning. Gary Williams and his Terrapins have returned to the NCAA Tourney. The Terrapins will face Mike Montgomery and his California Bears on Thursday afternoon at 2:55 in Kansas City. Coach Williams pointed out that this was the Terps 2nd appearance in 3 years in the NCAA’s and he was especially proud that in this time period 8 of his 10 seniors have graduated.      This loss hurts deeply.  Maryland’s failure to cope with the spread offenseled to total domination by the Blue Raiders.  Chris Turner was generally ineffective, throwing 3 interceptions .  DaRel Scott rushed for 123 yds on only 11 carries. Obi Egekeze again missed a crucial tieing FG.
