I am not even a little surprised. The fantastic score of 962 APR (925 is acceptable) is only going to climb more with all the recent Terrapin graduations. Remember this score is indicative of where bball stood years ago. Gary’s guys have graduated at a tremendous rate the past 5 years. WAY TO GO TERPS!!!!

It was a great night to be a Terp. For #21 it clearly was the most important night of his life. Last year when Greivis was unsure about staying in the NBA draft, he met with his high school coach (Stu Vetter) and his best friend in the world, gary Williams. The 3 of them decided it was best for Greivis to come back to Maryland , elevate his game and hopefully be a first round pick. In 2009 there … Read More »
The size of the hurdle has been reduced. Can Phoenix win 1 game in LA. Thats what they need and of course it falls into the hands of Amare. It’s doubtful that the Suns stellar bench performance will be repeated on the road. But the X factor is now the ZONE> Phoenix has decided to live or die with giving LA wipe open looks. Will the mighty Zen Master ever figure out how to penetrate the zone. Perhaps he should … Read More »
This was announced last night at F.O.G. (Friends of Gary) banquet. With Gary’s resume, I believe this should a no brainer.
Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year Greivis Vasquez was among three seniors who shared the spotlight Thursday night as the University of Maryland men’s basketball team held its annual awards banquet before more than 500 fans on the Comcast Center floor. The three seniors earned commemorative basketballs honoring their respective scoring milestones this season in a … Read More »
While reading up on everyone’s end-of-Maryland-basketball-season thoughts, I came across one of the most powerful sports-related videos I’ve ever seen. Dan Steinberg posted a video of an interview done with Gary Williams by NBC’s Lindsay Czarniak in his blog post on March 23rd. Before I go on about this video, click the link and take a look.

As last night’s game developed into a track meet, I was totally confident that the Terps would eventually win easily. There was no way an undermanned Houston team with only 2 scorers could run with Maryland. Some comments on the game at 1:33 AM.
Jordan Williams was outstanding scoring 21 points with 17 rebounds … Read More »
The guys deserved it and the alternative was probably a 8 hour 1 or 2 stop trip to Spokane, Washington–The Last Frontier. Seriously if you have a few minutes to waste see how difficult it it to get to Spokane. Hopefully every West Coast Terrapin Alum will travel to the game.
