The Orioles traded their closer George Sherrill for 2 Los Angeles Dodgers prospects.  The 32 year old lefthander acquired in the Eric Bedard trade saved 51 games in his brief stay in Baltimore.  Sherrill, who will be used as a set-up man for the Dodgers, was traded for Double A right handed pitcher Steven Johnson, the 22 year old son of former Orioles pitcher Dave Johnson and 22 year power-hitting 3rd baseman Josh Bell who recently was voted the M.V.P. of the Southern … Read More »

It was a great night for Dave Trembley or maybe every manager looks genius like vethe hapless Nats.  Nolan Reimhold now looks like he might be fixed in the 5th position in the order. jeremy  Guthrie laste 5 innings to get the win and George Sherrill had another fine performance in the 9th to get the save.
