One could not help but be emotionally involved in this Terrapin lacrosse family. It was so evident when you watched the jubilation of the bench every time something happened positive happened for Maryland on the field. What made Coach Tillman so upset today was the valiant effort on and off the field all year for Maryland. After the game ended I had a chance to commiserate with the Coach and he felt so bad for the Seniors, the team, the … Read More »
Some Random Observations of the game itself
Absolutely unbelievable—Middie Colin Briggs was suspended Saturday, one of many for Virginia over the year, and had that extra step to score 5 times and lead UVA to another title. When I first heard that Starsia didn’t play him on Saturday, I thought maybe this was a great move—resting a star of the team to have a physical edge. It is absolutely incredible that Steele Stanwyck had but one point and yet UVA … Read More »

Coach Danowski doesn’t believe the sea of red will effect his team. This will be a special game and could be a special weekend. Some facts:
The Terps and Duke split during the year. Both games were close though the Terps sort of dominated the 2nd half in Game 2.
Maybe I am too close to the program. I will leave the Press Box and blend in with the thousands of Maryland faithful in the crowd. i will nervously watch … Read More »
Utterly ridiculous. For the 3rd time this season the Terps will face the Tar Heels. The winner gets the honor of playing Syracuse. Why would the committee pit 2 ACC teams after they have played each other twice. Idiotic!!!! Furthermore how does UVA receive a 7 seed? Maryland destroyed them in Charlottesville and then won the ACC Tourney against Duke who vanquished the Hoos. The committee definitelt was out to nail the Terps. Sorry that’s my take and I am … Read More »
The Terps are showing the effect of 2 weeks off as they look very sloppy through The first half against #14 Colgate. With 2 minutes left in the first half the Terps trail 4-2 as Colgate has 2 long stick goals. It’s gut check time for the Terps. This game seems like it is getting away. The Raiders just scored again 5-2 now. Incredibly they just scored again 6-2. 3 goals in 27 seconds. John Tillman just called timeout. The … Read More »

Wow!! What an incredible game. For the first 48 minutes the Terrapins were totally dominated by Carolina and trailed 6-2. In a driving rain it seemed all was lost. Goals from Drew Snider and John Haus cut the lead to 6-4 with 8 minutes left. Then Owen Blye hit the nets back to back to tie the score with 5 minutes left. 2 minutes later Grant Catalino dented the nets with an incredible behind the back shot to give the … Read More »

The story from umterps.com: Senior Ryan Young led the No. 10 University of Maryland men’s lacrosse team with six points oon two goals and four assists, while junior Joe Cummings and sophomore John Haus each scored four goals, in the Terps’ 12-7 victory over No. 4 Virginia in front of … Read More »
