The NCAA lacrosse brackets were released tonight and both Maryland squads were seeded highly as expected.  The men are the #3 seed and take on Hofstra in the first round while a date with Syracuse awaits them in the Final Four.  The women are the #1 seed and play Marist in the first round with a potential matchup against Georgetown in the Final Four.

Before I get into my analysis for the game today listen ot an excellent preview of the game on CBS radio   syracusemarylandpreview  Why I believe the Terps will be victorious today.

In the past 3 NCAA playoff games the Dave Cottle has gotten his guys off to a fast start.  Maryland will come out on all cylinders , get the lead  and take Cuse out of its comfort zone.

Bragging rights between Maryland and Syracuse as far as lacrosse superiority could be answered by 2:30 PM Saturday.  At College Park, Gary Gait brings in his Lady Orange squad to try to end Maryland’s perfect season. And in Hempstead , NY John Desko’s Orangemen  will meet Dave Cottle’s Terrapins for the first time since 1997. Much more on these games on Terp Talk on Thursday night at 6PM.
