There is no news out of the meeting .
I don’t care how down the IU program is, winning in Bloomington is extemely difficult. IU is pointing to Maryland as one of its biggest games all year. I am traveling to Bloomington tonight to watch the game. I will either be blogging on terptalk.com or twittering . Indiana is led by freshman guard Maurice Creek who in the game I watched put on a stellar performance. I look for Greivis to have a big game tonight as the Terps … Read More »
Today Drew Brees stands alone at the top of the QB class in the NFL. Sorry Tom, sorry Peyton the guy I watched destroy the Patriots tonight has no equal in the NFL this year.
I have to admit at first thought I was a little upset the Ravens had so much trouble beating the Steelers last night but We have to realize that a good team will always rally around a team missing its key ingredients. Let’s face it … Read More »
Memories are short in Tallahasse. To talk about the success of Bobby Bowden would take much more then this column. That being said, Coach in Waiting Jimbo Fisher will take over the reigns of FSU next year. To no one’s surprise Charlie Weis is out at Notre Dame. Six wins just doesn’t do it at South Bend. Look for Charlie to quickly become an Offensive Coordinator somewhere in the NFL.
Congrats to 2 deserving Terrapins. LB Alex Wujciak was named to the First Team ALL ACC and Torrey Smith was a 2nd team selection as wide receiver and specialist. Wujciak, a junior, is currently second in the ACC and eighth nationally in tackles (10.9 per game). He racked up 131 tackles in 2009 to become the first Maryland defender to post more than 125 stops (133 in 2008) in back-to-back years since E.J. Henderson (150 in 2001; 175 in 2002).
Sunday night I was interviewed by CrimsonCast.com. Of course we previewed the Terrapin Hoosier matchup tonight and generally went back and took a look at the 2002 Championship Game. We also had an interesting rview of Indiana Basketball over the years. Just click the following link Crimsoncast
It was Judgement day for the Ravens. Either win or be virtually finished. Facing a Steeler team without Big Ben or #43 should have presented the Ravens with an easy win. It was anything but easy. Some observations:
The weater was incredible for Nov 29.
Hines Ward was extremely disappointed that #7 didn’t play , almost accusing him of deserting the team. This was caused by Coach Mike Tomlin not informingthe team until Saturday about Ben not playimg. Other Steelers … Read More »
Neither of these 2 firings were unexpected. Lawrence Frank is a great guy who coached the Nets to 2 Eastern finals. Lawrence actually earned his stripes by being a manager of the Indiana Hoosiers under Bobby Knight’s regime.
The Maryland women’s hoops team (6-1) defeated the Drexel Dragons (2-2), 82-65, Sunday afternoon. The Terrapins are now 3-0 when scoring 80 or more points. Lynetta Kizer returned to the lineup after suffering an ankle injury on Friday. She tallied 13 points in 18 minutes of action. Next up for the Terps is Minnesota Thursday night in the Big 10 Challenge.
