From Terrapintimes.com comes the news that Dino Gregory will return to the Maryland Basketball squad on Saturday Dec 12. Dino is a great kid from Baltimore and every Terrapin fan should be excited that he will be back. Dino will have several games to get ready for the real season –the ACC Season. It will also allow Coach Williams to bring the 2 freshmen bigs along at a more reasonable pace.
zagsblog.com speculates that on the soon to be decision by Tobias Harris. Tennessee has long though to be one of favorites for Tobias but he could rethink if Pinkston opts to be a Vol today at 3PM. The decision is coming this week. Seven schools on the short list of Tobias Harris are all awaiting his decision. For a long time it’s been Syracuse so I guess that makes them a slight favorite. What a fit he would be for Maryland. I know it’s doubtful but my fingers are crossed.

After making one of the worst decisions in franchise history, the Ravens cut the bait by releasing Steve Hauschka the supposed replacement for Matt Stover, the future Hall of Fame kicker. Unfortunately the damage is done–the miss of the field goal in the Vikings game potentially stands to cost the Ravens the playoffs, though this is certainly not the Ravens only problem.

Matt Bracken in his Sunpapers recruiting report has an up close and personal piece on Maryland’s newest basketball recruit , Ashton Pankey. Ashton seems like a great kid who is extremely comfortable at Maryland.
All the sites say the great Tobias Harris is a longshot to select Maryland. With the addition of Ashton Pankey to the 2010 recruiting class. Maryland will now be stacked with bigs next year. Short and sweet –Calipari’s team is loaded to the brim. John Wall the best guard in the country, Patterson, etc –yet they struggle to beat a team Towson defeated by 11. Would it be interesting if Kentucky came to the Towson Center. Calipari—OVERRATED!!!
It’s a great day for Maryland when they can land a first class kid like St Anthony’s Ashton Pankey. Chuck Driesell led the recruiting effort but Coach Williams was also cited by Pankey for being deeply involved in the process.
