Junior Safety Antwine Perez scared Terrapin nation Saturday when he was carried off the field with possible neck injuries. According to Coach Friedgen, Antwine is fine. His injury caused the burning of the 10th redshirt–this time it was Baltimore native Eric Franklin. According to the Coach, Franklin played excellent even contributing 1 sack. Here’s hoping the redshirt burning stops short of impressive QB Danny O”Brien.
There is nothing like ruining a Sunday watching the Vikings who could do no wrong against the Ravens, absolutely throw away the game against the Steelers. Favre was pathetic down the wire, unable to convert the big play and not having presence of the pass rush. The Ravens can not rely on anyone to do its dirty work. It’s beginning to seem like we will have to sweep Pittsburgh and the game at Cinci to win the division.

It was an impressive scrimmage where the pace and quality of play was all out for 40 minutes. Some observations.
Sean Mosley’s floor game was sensational as he finished with 21 points and 10 assists. Sean had many fast break passes that were perfect and led to snowbird layups.
When I first saw James Padgett dominate the Towson Under Armour game with his inside moves , I could not get too excited because of the level of competition. But yeaterday … Read More »
There is very little to say after today’s loss, in which a disappointing season keeps getting worse. Some observations of another tough conference game.
I listened to 90% of the game and enjoyed it much more then watching on a stuttering 360. I just finished watching the replay on 360 but it should be noted that Comcast will replay the game at 7:30 tomorrow night.
Caleb Porzel had some good moments though his stats tell a different story.

The No. 1-ranked Maryland field hockey team held off No. 2 North Carolina 4-1 in a rainy, wet match Saturday afternoon and claimed the ACC regular season title. The Terrapins moved to 17-0 on the year, a first in school history. Senior goalkeeper Alicia Grater kept the Tar Heels scoreless until the final minute of play with a new career-high 12 saves. Let’s cut to the chase. The Volunteers are down the entire game but with 1 minute left they are trailing 12-10 but driving. They complete a pass at Bama’s 30 yard line with 40 or so seconds. Then unbelievably they run the clock down to 3 seconds and put the entire game in the hands of their field goal kicker who was 0-2 beyond 40 today. The kick was blocked –Bama is still #1. 47 yard field goals are not … Read More »

The following is a press release I received today from the Wizards: “Washington Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld announced today that forward Antawn Jamison’s right shoulder has been re-evaluated and that the findings were consistent with the original diagnosis of a subluxation. He is expected to miss from four to six weeks from the date of the injury (Jamison sustained the injury in the Wizards’ 109-104 win in Cleveland on Oct. 14).” Can this team ever get a break?
