The #6 Men’s soccer team journeye to Georgetown and defeated the #16 Hoyas 2-1 on the strength of opening half goals from Drew Yates and leading scorer Jason Herrick. The Terps again played without Casey Townsend. Next up for the Terps is a road game at Clemson Friday night.
This year’s backcourt will need to play at consistently high level considering the teams lack of experience and depth in the low post. 6-6 senior Greivis Vasquez will run the point for the Red and White. The ACC announced the 1:30 start time at Durham on Oct 24th. The game will be streamed on ESPN 360 . The Terps really need to have a game on the larger network not the U or 360.

Over the weekend an article in the Arzona news began to speculate that perhaps PG Terrell Spoglin was reconsidering his verbal to Maryland and might open up discussions with Arizona. The Ravens were outplayed across the board yet were in clear position to win.
When you are on the road, all you can ask for is to have the ball at the end of a game with a chance to win. Carson Palmer pulled it off. Mark Clayton dropped the ball.
Riley Skinner was throwing to receivers wide open while Chris Turner had to thread the needle constantly.
Gary Douglas was impressive Saturday. By the way the screen passes did work for the Terps.

New Jersey Power Forward, Ashton Pankey has delayed his official visit to Maryland for one week, terrapintimes.com reports. The delay is to allow all of his family to make the trip. Ashton is going into his Senior at St Anthony’s High in the Bronx. At this point, it seems like he is the target guy for the Terps.
