Senior Emma Thomas dented the nest twice and Katie O’Donnell added a 3rd goal as Alicia Grater put another shut out notch on her record. The Terps as usual outshot their opponent 13-4 with 5 corners. Next up UVA Friday afternnon at 4PM,  just hours before Coach Missy Meharg will enter the Maryland Athletic Hall of Fame.

The O’s took a step closer to 100 defeats as the bullpen ailed to hold a 3 run lead —-again, losing to Tampa Bay 7-6. With 6 games remaining the Orioles are 60-96 in the midst of a 11 game losing streak, as the forfeiture of 2009 continues.

I am sure by now everyone has heard the disturbing news of Jordan Williams’ being charged with 3rd degree Assault and Disturbing the peace. Both charges are misdemeanors and it should be noted that Jordan has no previous record (according to the Washington Post). Let’s let the judicial system play out as well as hearing the entire story before commenting further.

Maryland Football

It seems like it is time to drop Oregon PF Terrence Jones from Maryland’s wish list. Yesterday it was reported on terrapintimes.com that Jones did not include the Terps in his top 7 selection of schools. I guess his friendship with Terrence Ross went only so far. However, I am still ecstatic about the addition of Ross. This kid can flat out play and will be  an instant success story at Maryland.

Maryland Football

Very few NFL games are never in doubt. This was one of them.  My observations:

The 2 Maryland guys had stellar performances today. Foxworth intercepted Brady Quinn early and set the Ravens’ first TD. Jared Gaither had 2 key blocks that opened the way for Willis McGahee’s 2 TDs.

#5 continues to be real steady. Judgement day for Joe and the offense occurs next Sunday at Foxboro.

Brenda has landed another star. Alicia DeVaughn one of the top centers in the country announced Saturday night that she will attend the University of Maryland.
