Former Sun beat writer, now ESPN blogger, Heather Dinich summarized her predictions for the Terrapins this year:
1. First-year defensive coordinator Don Brown will have the right plan but the front seven will be a step behind in executing it. Brown was a great hire, and his aggressive defensive philosophy will be an upgrade, but Maryland’s front seven is comprised of relatively unknown, unproven players. The Terps will rely heavily on linebackers Alex Wujciak and Adrian Moten to replace a … Read More »
Take a moment and read Matt Bracken’s blog from the Sun on Tyrek Cheesebor, a WR from Milford Mill who recented was added to Maryland’s 2010 recruiting class. This is a first class kid. Again Maryland’s elite status in having one of the best Criminal Justice Major programs in the country was the final point that won over this 4.3 40 yd speedster.
The Orioles continue to sink deeper into last place as the abysmal road show continues. Brian Roberts and Markakis each had 3 hits last night in a losing cause. Jim Palmer commented that SP Hill had absolutely nothing on his ball and basically was just throwing and hoping. He can not continue to start. Again the highlight of the game was a tremendous throw from Markakis to Weiters nailing Jeter at home.

Last night Cesar Izturis forgot to check with his 3rd base coach when rounding 2nd base. “With Cesar Izturis on first base and one out, Brian Roberts hit a shot off the right-field wall. Izturis, who was running on the pitch, never picked up the ball as he slid into second and eventually headed back to first base. He finally turned around and started running, but he had to settle for getting to third base with one … Read More »
I prefer George Zuverink or Dick Hyde when it comes to submarine pitchers. though Harley’s used to have good submarines.
Comment from Freddy in Boca
I remember Harley’s very well. Especially the ads from the late great Harley Brinsfeld. On Sunday night Harl;ey , the owner of several sub shops around Baltimore would have his jazz show on WBAL. At the breaks, he would do his his Harley commercials. To this day there has never been a sub like the Original … Read More »
