Top-seeded Maryland (18-1, 5-0) held off fifth-seeded Wake Forest (10-9, 1-4) 5-4 in double overtime Friday afternoon to advance to the ACC Championship game for the third straight year. Junior Jemma Buckley scored the game-winner in the third minute of the second overtime period.
Danielle Hubka scored in Overtime to lift the Terrapins to the Sunday final against Wake Forest, a surprise overtime winner against the Tar heels.

Cooler heads must prevail. After losing the battle for slots to the Cordish group, the Maryland Jockey Club immediately threatened to shut down Laurel and reduce Maryland racing to a 40 day meet at Pimlico surrounding the Preakness. Governor O’Malley needs to step in and help solve this dilemma.
