The Maryland field hockey team fell to the U.S. Under-21 Team, 4-3, Saturday in an exhibition match in College Park. The Terps held a 2-1 lead at the break, but couldn’t hold on for the win. The No. 9 Maryland men’s soccer team battled No. 3 Creighton to a 3-3 draw Friday at Morrison Stadium.
The Terps jumped out to a 2-0 lead courtesy of a pair of early goals in the match’s first 10 minutes. Dan Metzger found John Stertzer for a header at 7:14 for Maryland’s first score of the preseason. Two minutes later, Patrick Mullins gave the Terps a two-goal cushion.

Senior Becky Kaplan scored twice to lead the No. 13 Maryland women’s soccer team to a 3-0 season-opening victory over Navy at the Glenn Warner Soccer Complex Friday night.
