NBA draft .net was not kind in assessing Greivis’ performance at he NBA combine.  He still has several workouts remaining and of course European ball is still open for him. Remember only one team has to be in the kid’s corner. One thing is for sure the University community will always be in his corner. The most interesting thing I am waiting for is to see the immediate reaction of the Stevephson camp to Greivis’ decision.

But it was a game where we were probably like a 12-point underdog or something like that, and one of the things I do as a coach is it starts at about 12 o’clock, you start getting nervous for an 8 o’clock game, and coaches are control freaks for the most part, so you’d like … Read More »

The Arizona Daily Star reported today that the chances of Born Ready becoming a Wildcat are slim. Coach Sean Miller seems set on his 3 recruits according to the article.  I am not sure who is left in the picture for Lance, but I expect we will know more June 15 when Greivis’ NBA decision must be made. For a good recruiting update check out Matt Bracken’s blog from the Sun.

With Gary Williams in attendance in Chicago, an early review on Greivis Vasquez was disappointing. NBAdraft.net reported that Greivis looked a bit out of place with all the speedy point guards present. Greivis, come back to Maryland –take the Terps back to the top 15-20 and next year your place in the 1st round will be no issue.

The next great recruit out of Baltimore, was all but locked up for Kentucky a week ago. But now according to terrapintimes.com, it seems his advisors and friends are making a push for him staying in the area. The Lake Clifton guard has had a great meeting with Coach Williams so we will keep a close eye on this .
