A very busy day in Terrapin land on Thursday. Due to the live airing of Terp talk, I was unable to attend the annual Men’s Basketball banquet where James Gist was named MVP of the 07-08 team. The Orioles scored 2 in the 9th to tie and went on to a 10 inning win over the Pale Hose, behind the timely hitting of Adam Jones. The sudden retirement of Steve McNair ignited a QB discussion throughout Baltimore today. Look for … Read More »

sun-april-61 After a 5 year hiatus, the Capitals under the reign of new coach Bruce Boudreau return to the playoffs as a #3 seed. Led by the scoring of Alex Ovechkin and the goaltending of Cristobal Huet, this sinking franchise has surged into the NHL hierarchy. O’s fans there is hope. Gary mixed up the starting lineup tonight essentially going with 3 guards (Hayes, Greivis, and Bowie) and it seemed to work in a 10 point over a vastly inferior Minnesota team. Grivis scored a quiet 16 points and Bambale had 14. It is hard to believe the Gophers were actually favored over the Terps!!! Next up Syracuse Thursday night at 7PM. The Lady Terps (30-3 on the year) earned a #1 seed out west based on their incredibly … Read More »
Yes it has taken me a day to recover from the Terps collapse against BC. Enough has been said, and disappointment reigns supreme. As a guy who loves the Terps, all I can do is say next year will come sooner then you think and hopefully Sean Mosley, Gus Gilchrist and this year’s underclassmen can find those extra wins that were needed. The biggest potential loss I fear would be if Greivis opts out for the pros, whether … Read More »
acc-bc-prediction.WMA Tonight has to be the night the Terps recover from last Sunday’s loss at UVA. The guys looked loose as can be and this will reflect in the performance of the team. There will be enough rehashing of the game in the next days, so let’s just look at what the Terps have to do to earn a bid . Two wins over BC and Clemson and a respectable performance against Duke in the semis. The Terps will definitely need a stronger performance from James Gist and after a stellar … Read More »
virginia-prediction.WMA By the time you read this this morning, I will be on my way to Charlottesville to watch the huge game with UVA Sunday night. A victory will give the Terps a 9-7 Conference record and 5th place finish. Look for Greivis to come up with a clutch performance. The Terps need to concentrate on slowing Sean Singletary down. Virginia would love to spoil the Terps chances to make the NCAA tournament.
