gary-post-game-clemson.WMA The Clemson Tigers, down by 20 points with 11 minutes left, stormed from behind and completed the task with a 28 ft 3 pointer from Terrence Oglesby with 2.3 seconds left. Maryland was helped by a 20 point contribution fro the bench but was frustrated by Clemson’s physical full court press down the wire. Maryland is probably forced to win its last game next Sunday night at UVA and probably at least 1 ACC tournament game to make … Read More »
clemson-prediction.WMA Third place could be at stake today as Clemson comes into Comcast at 7:30 tonight. KC Rivers, James Mayes and Trevor Booker lead a formidable Tiger team that currently is 8-5 in the conference. James Gist has been onfire lately and Maryland will need another stellar performance to prevail. The big question–will the bench finally light up the twine? Terrapin lacrosse suffered a twin setback yeaterdatat Durham, as both the men (15-7) and women (14-13) lost to the … Read More »
In perhaps his finest moment as a Terp, Senior James Gist scored 31 points and led the Terrapins to their most important win of the year, thus breaking a 2 game losing streak. Greivis and James both shot 9-15 from the field putting the Terps out to an early lead they never relinquished. Maryland is now 8-6 in the ACC with a showdown with Clemson on Sunday night at Comcast. A win over the Tigers should insure Gary … Read More »

Because of the extreme importance of this week’s showdown with the Demon Deacons, Terp Talk will air as the post-post game show on Thursday night at 11PM. The show will return to 8PM next Thursday. This has definitely been labeled as one of key bubble games by ESPN on “Judgement Week.” Thursday morning, I will post my analysis and prediction on the website.
miami-prediction.WMA The good thing about the ACC is that after a bad loss there usually is a game within 72 hours. This a big one for the Terps in Miami–a win over the U and the Hokie game will be lost in memory. Can Eric Hayes ‘ shooting slump continue? Will the bench score a goosegg again? Will Gist get the ball today? The terps will bounce back –listen-to the audio for my prediction. The men’s lacrosse team … Read More »
The headline says it all. The Terps fall to 7-5 in the conference with conventional thinking 10-6 guarantees us a berth in the big dance. Greivis led all scorers with 25 points. Virginia Tech’s bench outscored Maryland’s 12-0. Eric Hayes’ shooting woes continue going 2-8 from the field. With Gist and Osby on the bench due to foul problems, Maryland could only score 3 points in the last 9 minutes of the 1st half. Next up Miami in Coral … Read More »
va-tech-prediction.WMA Maryland hopes to continue its winning ways tonight against the reeling Virginia Tech Hokies at Comcast. The Terps lost the first meeting when Grievis shot 2-14 and Jeff Allen dominated the game. Look for Maryland’s guards to dominate tonight as Maryland continues its surge to the big dance! All eyes will be on Landon to see if he can repeat his performance from last Saturday. Terp Talk this week will be at 8PM Thursday and will feature a … Read More »
What a great day to be a Terp!!! Kristi Tolliver controlled the tempo of the game furthering the claim that she is the #1 point guard in the country. Crystal Langhorne scored 25 on 11-15 shooting from the field. The #4 rated Terps move to 27-2 and 11-1 in the ACC. But the big news of the day was the much anticipated birth of 2 new Terps, Brenda Frese’s twin boys Tyler and Marcus.
Funny, I was not upset after the game tonight. When Hayes shoots 1-7 and Gist 3-10 there is no way the Terps could have won. That being said, Greivis again played a terrific game and Osby was a force inside but Greg Paulus has come of age. Along with Freshman sensation Kyle Singler the Devils shot lights out and continued undefeated in the ACC. But if at 57-55, Dave Neal or Eric’s shots fall –it’s a different game. Look … Read More »
