The Terps will face their 2nd high powered running QB on Saturday when Dwight Dasher takes the field as Mid Tenn State’s QB. Coach was also impressed with Chris Turner’s new found toughness as a sometimes rushing signal caller. Check out the article from Jeff Baxter in today’s Sun.
Three games in a row in ESPN 360. I am not sure how this TV semi blackout is helping out the Terps with recruiting , attendance, or in fact–anything.
In a crushing blow to the defense, Captain Nolan Carroll suffered a fractured tibia and will be lost for the season. Coach Friedgen commented on the team defense: “After watching the game film, Friedgen said poor tackling was “very much so” the biggest problem. “We need to tackle in space better than what we did. Some people tackled very well, I thought Adrian Moten tackled extremely well and so did Wujciak. He made some big tackles in the game. But I … Read More »
Nick Ferrara booted a 26 yard field goal capping a 4th quarter comeback and leading the Terps to victory. James Madison moved the ball on the ground at will against the Terps until the final drives of the game. QB1 Chris Turner through quickly with a one step drop as I predicted would happen. The pass rush never had a chance … Read More »
I had a chance to tour all the renovations at College Park and left feeling everything was done magnificently. The Sky Box Suites have tremendous site lines almost sitting on top of the field. The inside seats have clear vision through the glass and yet sitting outside is super as the seats are covered to protect from the elements. The media room is as good as any I have seen and that includes the Ravens. Job well done!!
Crucial!!!! We all know this. Maryland must win today to erase the ugly taste of game 1. The game will be televised on ESPN 360 only. Of course it is on the flagship ESPMN Radio and the fan 105.7
Vernon Davis obviously has righted the bad start he had with Mike Singletary. Vernon remains the toughest receiver to bring down (next to John Mackey) that I have ever seen.
Out: from Terrapintimes.com
Louis Berman (leg)
Bruce Campbell (foot)
Jamari McCollough (foot)
Caleb Porzel (leg)
Joe Vellano (foot)
Bruce Campbell is the starting left tackle. It’s a shame speedster Caleb Porzel won’t be ready for the home opener.
There is no sense dwelling on the negative. After upset losses by Duke and UVA last week, the Terrapins must focus on JMU coming off a 12-2 Season last year. Caleb Porzel is out again for this week, but punt retuner Tony Logan returns. It seems unlikely that Left Tackle Bruce Campbell will be ready so expect walkon Right Tackle Paul Pinegar to switch to the left side.We will have more on James Madison on Terp talk this Thursday night … Read More »
I was talking with Gary Attman, a big time Maryland supporter and booster, last night when he brought up a great point to me. Ozzie took a lot of heat for passing on the likes of DHB, Crabtree, Hakeem Nicks, etc. Though the Ravens need a deep threat, Ozzie let all of these speedsters go and concentrated on the Offensive line. Exhibition season means very little but the quality of protection for #5 allowed him to destroy every defense he … Read More »
