Senior attackman Grant Catalino headlines a group of six Maryland men’s lacrosse players that were named to the annual Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook preseason All-America teams. Catalino earned a first team selection, while senior defender Brett Schmidt and senior attackman Ryan Young were second and third team honorees, respectively. Sophomore midfielder John Haus, senior long pole Brian Farrell and senior defender Max Schmidt were honorable mention selections.

Lynetta Kizer scored a season-high 21 points, Tianna Hawkins added 17 points and 12 rebounds and Maryland (No. 22/23) won its seventh straight game, 79-61 over Loyola of Maryland on Tuesday night. The Terrapins (8-1) took control by ending the first half on a 32-7 run and won despite the absence of second-leading scorer Alyssa Thomas, who sat out with a knee laceration.
