Last night I came out of my doldrums about the Tourney and ventured to Verizon as a paying customer as Georgetown deemed me not worthy of a press pass. It’s not my fault the Hoyas came up empty again but whatever. (I was late in applying as I was waiting to see where the Terps were going) Anyway what an epic matchup.

All apologies to Shelvin Mack for my claims of mediocrity. he was fantastic last night. Butler played like … Read More »

Maryland broke a 3-3 tie on a bases-loaded balk by Boston College pitcher Eric Stevens in the bottom of the seventh and freshman right fielder Charlie White’sleaping catch at the wall in the eighth inning helped preserve a 4-3 Terrapin win Saturday afternoon. White provided the play of the game with one on and one out in the eighth, leaping at the wall to rob an extra-base hit from Mike Sudol, then throwing to first to double up Matt Watson … Read More »

Boston College starter Andrew Lawrence lasted only an inning, but reliever Hunter Gordon (1-0) … Read More »

Believe Coach Tillman stepped off the accelerator somewhere in the 3rd quarter. This game was not as close as the final score. Once again Niko Amato was stellar in the nets. The Terps seem to be on a consistent attack mode. Joe Cummings added 3 goals for the Terps who seemed determines never to let UMBC gather any momentum. The Terps return to action Sunday at 1PM vs St Joes.

UMBC Coach delivered a blistering speech to the Retrievers after losing to Johns Hopkins 16-5 last Saturday. I am positive UMBC will come out with  a renewed sense of urgency. It will be a tough game for the Terps.

When he is aggressive and attacking there is not much a defender can do because Anderson can make a play from 15 feet and in over or around anyone on the perimeter. He is a lefty that can make plays in the lane and if he gets close to the rim it’s … Read More »
