I have said it many times –my favorite track is the little harness track in Oxen Hill. It’s quiet–too quiet unfortunately, easy to access and the chalks always seem to win. Peter Angelos believes that if you can combine the races with slots it will be athriving part of the community. Probably if you combine slots with a pizza palace it will thrive. But the location is great, parking is easy, and I am sure it would be a success. … Read More »

The Terps would win tonight if any of their players started so we need to look for flow of the offense tonight. Bowie looks so much more comfortable at the 2. Early on 2-2. Stoglin hits a NBA 3 off a nice pass from Sean as the Terps go uo 7-2. With the score 9-2 and 16 minutes left in the half, I now declare the Terps winner tonight. Jordan has 4 rebounds and 2 points after 4 minutes.

Coach Randy Edsall’s first moves were winners in my eyes–keeping Defensive Coordinator Don Brown and Wide receivers coach Lee Hull.

Sorry, I can never forget the whipping Beamer put on his best friend Ralph Friedgen 55-6 several years back. So yes I enjoyed every second of watching Stanford destroy the Hokies. By the way where was Hokie Nation–the Orange Bowl seemed empty!!!
As I said when I watched Stanford annhilate Cal a few months ago, Jim Harbaugh is the best coach in the nation and whoever is 2nd is so far back we can’t see him. There is no … Read More »

Embedded below is the audio from Randy Edsall’s introductory press conference today.  I’ll have some thoughts and analysis on the presser over the next few days, but if you didn’t get to catch the broadcast on TerpsTV, take a listen to the audio below.  The audio cuts out with about 5 minutes left in the press conference as there wasn’t enough space on my recorder (my apologies!).

Everything about Randy’s first presser was positive today. He spoke only of ACC championships as judgment criteria for the football team. He genuinely seems ecstatic about being here. There’s just not much to say–Anderson was hired as AD to fill vacant posts and he alone (according to him) should be held responsible for the decision. Randy surely is qualified for the job. I ilked how he handled himself with the press. Chick Hernandez spoke of the uproar of Terrapin nation … Read More »

How many times will the defense bail out the offense. #52-2 fumble recoveries #20 — 2 ints

The offense was pathetic in the 4th quarter. One first down during the last 3 drives would have taken the drama out of the win.

Once the Steelers went up 21-3, I lost interest in the game.

Much more about the KC game as the week goes by.

Like him or not, Randy Edsall is hitting the ground running. He is bringing his OC, Running backs coach, and Special teams coach with him from UConn. Don Brown has interviewed for the Def Coordinator position with james Franklin at Vanderbilt and also for the head coaching job at Elon.

Two or 3 times a week , I will conduct a poll on the site. The poll is on the right side at the top. I encourage all to participate

It did not take much enticement for Randy Edsall to leave UConn. It never does when you go from making $350,000 a year to $2 million for doing essentially the same job. He was so anxious to close the deal, he did not accompany his team home. For that, Uconn is obviously mad. Early word has it that Edsall will bring his coordinators with him, thus probably spelling the end of Don Brown. Here’s hoping that Edsall hits the ground … Read More »
