University of Maryland head baseball coach Erik Bakich and his staff have added seven student-athletes to the 2010 class, including six pitchers and a catcher, to bring the number of 2010 incoming players to 22. Senor Vasquez was running the show last night and was obviously very comfortable in Memphis’ 66-65 loss in the Summer League. Greivis found his long range shooting touch nailing 3 threes.
I had the opportunity last night night to spend some time with ex Ravens FG kicker Matt Stover. Matt represented our company at a trade show–Meet and Greet. He was thrilled at his fan support, courteous to everyone present, and sincerely interacted with everyone at the event. This clearly explains to me why he was such a success as a Raven. A first class gentleman—Matt Stover!!!
If you have been to the Hard Rock cafe Poker Room in Miami (actually Hollywood, Florida), you hear about the Mizrachi family–the kings of No limit hold em poker. Well this story is being validated day after day as Michael and Robert continue to dominate WSOP events. After starting with 7319 entrants, the field has benn narrowed to 103, with Michael in a strong 2nd place position.
It’s funny but it seems like every time Maryland shows interest in a potential coaching or administrative candidate another school swoops and hires him. I have no idea if Mullens was ever considered but I do know it is still very early in the AD search and the rumors of Mullens coming to Maryland sure must have helped him land the Oregon job.
