Through the years Lebron has always bothered me. Why? Because as a big Wizards fan, he single handedly ruined several seasons always besting Gilbert when it mattered. So I found it strange to be sort of rooting for Cleveland last night. The one athletic treasure the city has probably is on his way to New York or Chicago and Cleveland who supported the King as a King will be left empty handed with Antawn as its leader. Doc Rivers clearly … Read More »
Berend Weijs, a 6-foot-10 power forward from Harcum (Pa.) College, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at the University of Maryland, head coach Gary Williamsannounced Thursday. Weijs, who will have two seasons of eligibility with Maryland, averaged 6.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.4 blocks per game for the Bears, who finished 26-3 this season. His 119 blocks set a school record at Harcum, which is located in Bryn Mawr, Pa. The Maryland recruiting class was recently … Read More »
A quiet week suddenly has become hot!!!! 2 potential 2010 recruits have surfaced at College park and we will have none other then Keith Cavanaugh on to report. There will be more discussion of the UVA situation and previews of the NCAA Lacrosse tourney. I will rant against the Tewaaraton Committee who slighted Terrapin Grant Catalino. Tune in at 6PM tonight on ESPN 1300 or listen in on the site by clicking Listen Live.
Weijs is 6’10 but only 205 lbs but according to terrapintimes.com has more then held his own in the pickup games at Comcast.
For those of you who doubt Haukur Palsson can score–terrapintimes.com reports tonight that the Hawm representing Iceland posted 35 points including 5 threes against Denmark.
“The last game of the day was also the closest one as Iceland U18 and Denmark U18 went to overtime. And here it was PF/C Kevin Larsen that sealed the deal with 23pts and 8rebs. He got good support from Soeren Doessing who had 21pts and 3asts while Niels Andreasen scored 17. For Iceland, Maryland … Read More »
The Montreal Canadiens did the improbable yet again and took down the Penguins in Game 7. Personally, I think the Habs win tonight starts to remove some of the pain and frustration caused by the Caps losing in the first round. First off, seeing Pittsburgh and Crosby move on would’ve been sickening for all hockey fans in this area. The Canadiens’ win tonight also serves to show that maybe they are a wee bit better than their 8-seed shows.
Nonetheless, … Read More »
Brian Sereno, PR Director of the Wizards has informed me that the Wizards will observe Landon Milbourne in a tryout session at Verizon this afternoon.
How quickly they jump ship. LeBron James has single handedly turned the city of Cleveland into a semi winner. One bad game and now he is a quitter. Wake up, this guy is the real deal and I have full confidence he will bounce back and lead the Cavs to victory –with a little help from Antawn.
Certainly to no one’s surprise, Terrapin Senior Senior Caitlyn McFadden has been selected as a Tewaaraton Award Finalist. Caitlyn has been Captain and leader of the #1 Ldy Terrapin squad who certainly hopes to knock Northwestern off its perch and regain the National Championship.
However, there has been a slighting of monumental proportions. Terrapin Attackman and offensive leader Grant catalino has been left off the finalist list. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!!! Maryland is 3rd seeded in the tourney and there is … Read More »
