Some observations of of a good home victory for the Terps:

Dino’s influence on the team was immediately seen, The Terps played with more fire with Dino handling interior defense in a way that hasn’t occurred this year so far. He nailed 2 mid range jumpers and played a quality 33 minutes.

The headline puts a sick feeling in my stomach. Due to the groin injury, #20 will not play this Sunday. Hopefully Joe Flacco recovers from his mid season slump. There are no more tomorrows with another loss.

Ravens

The Sun’s Jeff Barker, along with my self remain 2 of Greivis’ staunchest defenders. Jeff wrote in Tracking the Terps”—

“I must disagree with some of you calling for Greivis Vasquez to come off the bench. The Terps need him. More to the point, they need him playing well. He’s not playing well right now, but we know that he can.

They rarely turn the ball over and play 1-3-1 zone.  Justin Stommes 6-7 forward averages 15 a game, Josh Taylor 6-6 forward is averaging 14.8 and Papa Oppong 6-4 guard drops in 12 a contest.

Maryland Basketball

The largest crowd in Towson Women’s Basketball history witnessed a shocking upset tonight  as Towson point guard Shanae Baker-Brice put the team on her shoulders and led the Tigers to a dominating 12 point win. For whatever reasons. the Terps could not put the ball in the bucket, shooting 21-61 and 8-18 from the foul line line. I kept watching the game hoping someone would step up and take charge for Maryland but it never happened. Tianna Hawkins was 6-7 … Read More »
