Routine double play grounder is mishandled by Brian Roberts—leads to 4 runs—O’s lose 6-4 despite 2 run homer by Markakis.
Lance Stephenson could have been the toast of the Baltimore / DC area. He will soon be nothing but a faded memory on our minds. I will never understand why he didn’t commit a few weeks back after Kansas made it clear he wasnt wanted as a Jayhawk. Here is hoping that Born Ready and his posse find what they are looking for. I promise these are my final words on Lance!!!!
Jim Terp 70 in the forum last night mentioned that I did not include Kim in the analysis of the 2009-10 Terrapin Basketball squad. I hope Kim has bulked up a little because the intensity and fearlessness he brings to the table are plusses for any team. Jin Soo came to Maryland with a reputation of a shooter, yet last year he never found his stroke. Gary has said the biggest adjustment a shooter has to make when he comes … Read More »
Yes it’s my biased self speaking, but let’s analyze why this team is ready to make a run. Senior Leadership prevails at he most important position-that of guard. With Hayes and Greivis, the Terps have their backcourt combo since the championship days. Bowie, Mosley , and Tucker give guard, small forward depth that the Terrapins have never had. Landon Milbourne whether playing the 3 or 4 position has another year under his belt and a tremendous character resume stemming from … Read More »
If you are a regular listener to Terp Talk you have often heard me say that if I had a choice of Lance Stephenson or Greivis Vasquez for the next year , I clearly wanted Greivis. Now after Greivis’ announcement to return for his Senior year comes word from Jeff Barker and the Sun that Maryland is out of the recruitment for Born Ready, Lance Stephenson. This story is so complex it is impossible to make any rational observation … Read More »
From umterps.com —Junior guard Greivis Vasquez ——
“After a great deal of thought, consideration and research, I have decided to withdraw my name from the NBA Draft and return to the University of Maryland for my senior year,” Vasquez said. “It has always been a goal of mine to graduate from the University of Maryland and earn my degree. When I signed a scholarship to come to Maryland, I promised my family back home in Venezuela that I would graduate, and … Read More »
Happy days are here again as Greivis Vasquez has put his NBA career plans on hold to return to Maryland for his Senior year. At 3:08 PM , I received the text from terrapintimes.com that yes Greivis will return!!!!! Much more as the day progresses.
From terrapintimes.com comes the info that Greivis Vasquez has been huddled most of the day with Coach Gary Williams and Montrose Christian Coach and legal US guardian, Stu Vetter. According to terrapintimes.com, Greivis is waiting for some sort of guarantee from an NBA team that he will indeed be selected in the draft. (My speculation would be that if it was a 2nd round there would be an analyzation of the team and high probabilities of making the team.)Apparently that … Read More »
Well I called this one right, Lakers in 5 and game 5 was never in doubt after the 1st quarter. Kobe just weaved the game throughout the entire team and was truly deserving of the Playoff MVP award he won. This is the 10th Title for Phil Jackson placing him one ahead of the late Red Auerbach. The win also was some exoneration for Mitch Kupchak the GM who traded Caron Butler for Kwame Brown. I guess next time when … Read More »
The Montrose Christian lad, Terrence Ross who has verbally committed to Maryland for 2010, stole the show yesterday at the Maryland Elite camp according to terrapintimes.com. Ross was clearly the best player on the floor, shooting lights out. Steve Goins played in the scrimmages and looked much improved.
