Early in the first half, Carmelo was being shut down and the Nuggets were getting blown away by theLakers, when Linas Kleiza was inserted into the lineup. He nailed 3 threes and brought Denver back into the game. Carmelo Anthony again was superb scoring 34 and adding a tremendous physical presence to the Denver lineup. Next game Saturday Night at 8:30 from Denver.
Maryland placed four players on the 2009 USILA Men’s Lacrosse All-America teams, which were announced Thursday. Sophomores Ryan Young and Max Schmidt earned second and third team honors, respectively, while sophomore Grant Catalino and senior Dan Groot were honorable mention selections.

ESPN late morning host Colin Cowherd was on a tirade about how weak the East was this year and how the Cavaliers are so overrated. IT’s LeBron and nothing else. Well he wasn’t all wrong as on Weds night the King scored 48 yet his team collapsed down the wire to lose to Orlando in Game one. Game 2, now a must win for Carmelo and Denver.
After a 2 year lapse in the rivalry , the Terrapins and Mountaineers will resume their battles on 2010. The Terps will host WVU in 2011 and 2013. In a another football note it is great see Ralph after he has lost over 90 pounds on the newly popular Med-Fast diet.
According to terrapintimes.com Terrapin sophomore Steve Goins has changed his mind, promised to improve on and off the court, and will continue his Terrapin career. The Terrapins now awit the NBA fate of Greivis Vasquez to see how the 2009-10 team will be structured. There is finally some depth in the big men for Maryland. As of now Jerome Burney, Steve Goins, Dino Gregory,Jordan Williams, and James Padgett make up this group.
