The merry go round keeps turning with events changing every day. Analyze this: Rivals.com reported today in its Whispers column that Terrell Vinson might be rethinking his possible committment to UMass and now is considering Maryland. Listen to the chain of events. Lance really wants to go to Kansas but if Xavier Henry decides to be a Jayhawk, Lance knows Self will forget he ever knew him. That would leave Lance with St John’s or the logical choice -Maryland. Vinson … Read More »
What a horrible playoff performance by the Caps last night. I am not a huge hockey fan but I have to admit I was a little jacked up for this game. This is supposed to be a Stanley Cup calibre type team. The game I watched displayed horrible defense that put the goalie on edge all night and it was tough to watch that punk Avery (who dissed Jack Bauer’s daughter) bully the Caps. When he checked the goalie for … Read More »

I really don’t have a good answer as to why Marah Strickland left the Terps. She had averaged 28 minutes per game, free wheeled and took many 3 point shots and was poised probably to be the offensive focus player this season. She seemed to be a happy member of the team. Still scratching my head over this one. Good Luck Marah.
Slam Magazine has elevated the status of Lance by placing him on the cover with supposed #1 prospect John Wall. If Lance is going to St John’s, I would expect the announcement today or tomorrow. There are no stumbling blocks to becoming a Johnnie. At Maryland there is the unknown presence of Greivis and at Kansas, Xavier Henry is still … Read More »
Certainly this was a game the Men’s Lacrosse team needed. Coach Cottle spread the minutes among the entire team as Binghamton was no match for the Terps who are now 7-5. The Terps travel to Penn this Saturtuday for a 4:30 match with the Quakers at historic Franklin Field.
Karri Ellen Johnson scored 5 goals leading the Lady Terps to a come from behind victory over Johns Hopkins today. The Lady Terps came out flat and the Lady Bluejays came … Read More »
We are 8 games into the season and the bullpen is wearing down already. Adam Jones slammed a 2 run Homer in the 10th and was backed up with a 2 run double by Luke Scott which was needed to defeat Texas agains. the O’s are now 6-2.
Last year when I first saw the Ravens schedule, I thought maybe the Ravens could get 6 wins. therefore I offer no judgement on this year’s schedule except to say I am not happy with finishing the season with 2 road games. I do appreciate the 7 1PM home games–sanity has returned to the NFL. These night games in December were ridiculous. That said here is the schedule:
Sept. 13, 1 p.m. — vs. Kansas City
Sept. 20, 4:15 … Read More »
The merry go round continues. Adam Zagoria reports today that within a couple of days, Lance Stephenson will decide between St John’s and Kansas, completely ignoring Maryland. Lance took an official visit to St John’s this weekend after having talked to Bill Self on Friday. Monday night point guard Sherron Collins announced he is definitely returning to Kansas. Here is my take: Self is playing Lance like a fiddle. the second Xavier Henry commits to be a Jayhawk, … Read More »
As a sopomore Marah Strickland averaged 28 minutes per game. With Kristi and Marissa leaving it obvious her role would increase. But she just didn’t accept the facts and is moving on. Best of luck to both ladies. I am sure Brenda is working on replacements as I write. By the way, I had a chance to chat with Marissa at the Wizards game last night. She is ecstatic at staying at home and playing for the Mystics.
