I landed in Kansas City around midnight and axiously await Maryland’s return to the dance.  Antwerpen Terp Talk will be on tonight immediately after the post game show. I will be calling in live with my observations. Matt Schlissel will be in the studio. Email any questions to bruce@terptalk.com. I will be blogging on Twitter during the game. I invite all my twitter partners to join in. By the way they are referring to Greivis here as the “Venezuelan … Read More »

Despite words from zagsblog.com yesterday that Maryland was out,  Lance Stephenson today said it was still between the 3 schools -St Johns, Kansas, and Maryland. Is there still hope Born Ready could be a Terp—-yes but not much. I guess we will play the waiting game. Perhaps this might give the coaching staff more time to impress the young man.

Adam Zagoria reported in zagsblog, com last night that Lance Stephenson has narrowed his college choices to St John’s and Kansas. Born Ready has postponed his announcement day to April 1 in Miami when he plays in the McDonald’s game.  This seems to indicate that Kansas might be the winner of the one and done Lance. For Terps fans this is somewhat disappointing but the indications were never evident that Born Ready was going to be a Terp. I … Read More »

Everyone asks me how the Terps will do against the Cal Berkeley Bears and all I can say is I have never seen them play. They start a 7 footer who is not too productive but seem to be a team that loves the 3. Live by the 3 die by the 3. Theo Robertson is anxious to guard Greivis. Watch what you wish for . Coach Williams had this to say about the expected 3 point barrage “They’re a very good … Read More »

The Terps have been led by the prolific scoring depth consisting of Laura Merrifield, Sarah Mollison (pictured), Caitlyn McFadden, and Freshman Karrie Ellen Johnson. The depth across this lineup is incredible. The Terps return home Saturday to face Boston College at High Noon as a prelude to the Men’s game against North Carolina.

All is right with the world today. Business still stinks, the weather was dreary, airfare to Kansas City is outrageous, but today Monday March 16 I awoke on with a smile on my face. THE TERPS ARE BACK WHERE THEY BELONG—IN THE DANCE!!!  Maryland sports but especially  Maryland basketball is very personal to me and everyone who know me or listens to Terp Talk knows this is for real. Supposedly  highly sought recruit Lance Stephenson is putting off his college decision, electing not to make it public this Saturday as promised.  Tomorrow I will check my New York source Adam Zagoria for his take on this subject. Wishful thought: Maybe Born ready doesn’t want to anger St John’s fans by announcing Maryland or Kansas in the Garden.

Gary Williams and his Terrapins have returned to the NCAA Tourney. The Terrapins will face Mike Montgomery and his California Bears on Thursday afternoon at 2:55 in Kansas City. Coach Williams pointed out that this was the Terps 2nd appearance in 3 years in the NCAA’s and he was especially proud that in this time period 8 of his 10 seniors have graduated.
