Hats off to Coach Kerry McKoy. In his first year as Wrestling Head Coach, Coach McKoy certainly lived up to his high quality reputation. Juniors Brendan Byrne, No. 11 Steven Bell and No. 10 Alex Krom all won individual Atlantic Coast Conference titles, giving the University of Maryland wrestling team enough of a lift to propel the Terrapins to the 2009 ACC championship … Read More »
IIt was a happy day in Greensboro on Sunday. My only concern is that the Lady Terps are so hot, I hate the idea of 2 weeks off. Fortunately, as a #1 Seed the Terps will draw a relatively easy game at home on the 22nd. For those of you who still haven’t seen Kristi or Marissa live, you will have … Read More »
The confusion during the last play was just one of a hundred plays so go easy on laying the game on Greivis’ shoulders.
If Greivis leaves as has been said, what an opportunity for Lance Stephenson to come in and be surrounded by experienced players and still get plenty of PT.
It looks like the Terps will need wins over NC State and Wake Forest to advance into the dance. Virginia Tech had its opportunity to get to 8-8 but … Read More »
This is a team on a roll. The only obstacle will be UCONN but that’s a ways aways. Marissa Coleman was named MVP as she scored 28 again, including the winning 3 point shot. Kim Rodgers came off the bench to hit 2 big free throws to preserve the lead. Kristi Tolliver added 26 points to secure the first ACC title for the 2 graduating seniors. The big dance starts March 22 for the Terps at Comcast.
I said it on Terp Talk Thursday night, Diane was the guy to fear. It was his Senior day after a very disappointing year. He responded with 23 points including a 3 point winning shot with the score tied. The Terps will probably need at least 2 wins in the tournament to get the NCAA bid. The Terps went out to a huge lead but were plaqued by turnovers and poor shooting until the furious comeback rally. The look of … Read More »
“This team’s on a mission” a direct quote from Marissa Coleman and she really backed it up today scoring 29 points in a 95-84 win over UNC. The #4 Terrapins have now won 11 straight and are up to 27-4. Kim Rodgers came off the bench to provide a much needed 11 points. Tomorrow at 1, Marissa and Kristi try to get the one title that has eluded their stellar career, the ACC Championship.
The vaunted Maryland attack was back in full swing today scoring all 9 goals for the Terps. Grant Catalino-4, Ryan Young-2, Travis Reed- 2, and Will Yeatman-1 led Maryland over a stubborn Towson team. Next up for the Terps is UMBC at Ludwig Field next Saturday.
Sarah Mollison scord 6 goals and Brandi Jones added 5 points as the #3 Lady Terps eased over UVA 17-11 Friday night. Next up for the 4-0 Terrapins is Georgetown on Wednesday on the … Read More »

I always hate when victories are assumed like everyone believes that Wake has no chance vs Maryland today. In all honesty they probably don’t but that is precisely how upsets occur. The Lady Terps are on a roll and hope to capture an ACC Tournament Title. Kristy and Marissa might just tak
