With Maryland seeking its greatest set of back to back victories perhaps in Terrapin history, Coach K and his Devils with new Freshman wonder Eliot Williams strut into Comcast tonight thinking they are invicible. After piling it on the Terps by 41, and declaring Nolan Smith was the answer to the previous failures of point guard Greg Paulus, Coach K has had a change of heart and is now going with Freshman Eliot Williams at the point. Supposedly he will … Read More »

Some highlights of the article: It looks like March 21 is decision day for Lance. Here is part of the article concerning the Terrapins:
“Prior to the Kansas visit, Stephenson visited Maryland. His teammate, 6-8 forward James Padgett, has already signed to play for the Terps.
“Me and James are cool,” Stephenson said. “He said he wants me … Read More »
To nobody’s surprise, Greivis Vasquez was named ACC player of the week for the 3rd time this year. To my surprise Marissa Coleman got the nod over Kristi Tolliver, but as long as it stays in the family who cares!!! Darrius Heyward-Bey’s stock continues to soar after running a 4.3 40 at the NFL combine. He is projected as a mid to late first round pick and I would be surprised if he got past the Ravens.
(Sean Fitzpatrick left Jeremiah Wilson right)
From Terrapin Times.com comes the news that Sean Fitzpatrick eagerly added his name to the 2010 Class for Maryland.”It wasn’t just about the football program for me,” said Fitzpatrick. “It was about the business school being ranked 26th in the country and the whole deal down there. They play great … Read More »
After a trade to New Orlaens was nixed by Tyson Chandler failing his physical, the Oklahoma City Thunder sent the ex Maryland power forward to the New York Knicks for Malik Rose. “Chris is a gifted athletic big man that brings toughness and solidifies our interior defense,” Coach Mike D’Antoni said. Joe Smith also part of the failed trade, is rumored to be signing with the World Champion Boston Celtics.
Enough of the ridicule, enough of the criticism. There is no atmosphere equal to what occurred at Comcast last Saturday night. That is why I keep coming back. The Terps play 16 ACC games a year. Even during the past few seasons, you can NEVER count out a Gary Williams team especially at home. Before Wednesday’s night’s game begins remember Duke humiliated the Terps at Cameron a month ago. Think it will happen again? We shall see. Let’s hope Duke … Read More »
Let’s get down to basics, 4 games left 2 wins necessary and the Terps are in.It’s that simple. The win over #3 North Carolina meant that much!!!According to Joe Lunardi, ESPN’s Bracketlogist, Maryland went from 17 out of the top 64, back into the mix. I said it last night in my blog, a win over Duke will be Maryland’s greatest back to back victories in its history.
It is inconceivable for a guard to have a better game, then Kristi Tolliver had tonight. Playing before the 5th largest crowd in NCAA history and a nationally televised audience, Kristi hit 7 threes, shot 12-21 and played a perfect floor game. Fellow Senior Marissa Coleman added 24 points for the #7 ranked Terps. Should the Terps win out the regualar season and the ACC Tournament, a #1 … Read More »
Two more conference wins and Maryland returns to the dance. that’s the general consesus of the talking heads on ESPN. Greivis was just unconscious today scoring 35 including the tying bucket and the winning bucket. Cliff Tucker dropped in 22 including 8-12 from the field. The Terps and Gary Williams are a product of history , everytime they have faced this seemingly dire situation they have responded with a win. Ty Lawson was incredible for the Tar Heels but it wasn’t … Read More »
