In a game that was virtually 100% dominated by Terrapin aggressive play, Rodney Wallace scored in the middle of the 1st half on a brilliant Michael Marchiano pass and then the Terps barely missed shot after shot until mercifully the game ended. This is what the opposing coach had to say postgame:
This was probably the most we’ve been outplayed in the last decade or longer. All credit to Maryland. Terrific job organizationally on team defending. Individual and team defending really made … Read More »
It’s Judgement Day for Sasho Cirovsky and the Terrapin Soccer team. At 1:PM at Ludwig Field the Terps take on Creighton with the winner going to soccer’s final four. Look for Freshmen Casey Townsend and Goalie Zac MacMath to lead the surging Terrapins to the College Cup.

Big game tonight for the Terps. Despite the Gtown performance this is a game we should win. Here is some info on Michigan Michigan enters College Park with a 5-1 record this season and is riding a two-game winning streak… The Wolverines hit the national spotlight this season with a 55-52 victory over UCLA on Nov. 20 in Madison Square Garden… My prediction Maryland 76 Michigan 68, sorry Karl!!!

Headlined by a trio of first-team All-ACC honorees in running back Da’Rel Scott, center Edwin Williams and punter Travis Baltz, the Terps tied for their most all-conference players since 2003 (also nine in 2006). The All-ACC squad was selected in voting by 67 members of ACSMA.
In addition to the three first-team selections, linebacker Alex Wujciak garnered second team All-ACC honors for Maryland (7-5, 4-4 ACC), which tied for third in the ACC’s Atlantic Division. Five Terps – offensive lineman Scott … Read More »
No excuses tonight!!! Greg Monroe is the real deal but JT3 better get it all from him he can this year because he will be at the next level in 2009. The Terps just didnt seem ready to play. Look for a turnaround Wednesday night vs Michigan. Sean Mosely broke into the starting lineup tonight and I would not be surprised to see some more changes on Wednesday.
A seemingly great year collapsed into mediocrity on Saturday as this victory could not be resurrected by a gutty showing from Chris Harper. Two weeks ago the Terps were 7-3 and in first place in their ACC Division with thoughts of the Orange Bowl floating in their minds. Now they end the season 7-5 and 4-4 in the ACC and will be lucky to even be selected to play in any Bowl according to their head coach!! What went … Read More »
Freshman Goalie Mike MacMath made a spectacular save in the final minute to hold off a furious Cal Bear rally and preserve a 2-1 victory for the Terps. Maryland is only one win away from a return trip to the College Cup Final Four in Texas. That game will be played next Saturday at Ludwig Field at 1PM. Maryland controlled the game throughout scoring twice on goals by Omar Gonzalez and Jeremy Hall.
It’s Salvation Day for the Terps at BC today. The Terps are 7-0 in day games, 4-0 against ranked teams, and certainly can turn this year into a very successful season with a win to move to 8-4 and share the division title. I don’t know why but I believe Terps 27 BC 17 and the Terps in the Champs Sports Bowl.
At first glance, Friday night’s game seemed like an overwhelming loss against a much bigger team. Let me throw some stats out: Maryland was 1-13 from the 3 point range—Mosley missed 2 wide open shots, Eric Hayes 0-4 with 3 wide open misses, Greivis 1-3 all wide open. Landon missed 3 or 4 snowbird layups. Why did this happen? Not because of Gonzaga’s great defense. Don’t forget Daye and Heytvelt were a combined 16-20. If we played the Zags … Read More »
